The Teacher Sparx Recharge program is the foundation and entails nine weekly sessions of community learning and facilitated conversation to increase overall wellness and foster a sense of community. Teachers leave this program feeling motivated to forge ahead in the high-demand profession of teaching, with a toolbox full of strategies to help them stay uplifted on the hard days.

I'm an educator, curriculum designer, and peer support specialist with a passion for helping others thrive. With a Master’s in Instructional Design & Technology and over 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher and media specialist, I’ve had the privilege of working with students, teachers, and education programs in a variety of roles. I earned National Board Certification in 2006 and have developed curricula for gifted education and alternative certification programs.
As a certified peer support specialist in Florida, I also facilitate THRIVE support groups on the HeyPeers platform and lead Teacher Sparx, a program designed to empower and support educators. Through Sparx Connections, I extend that mission beyond the education space, providing opportunities where people can recharge, connect, and grow.

Through these efforts, I facilitate workshops, conduct individualized sessions, and engage in virtual meetups to foster growth and healing in communities and individual lives. Participants in Sparx Connections programs, including THRIVE meetings (on HeyPeers.com), leave the experiences feeling "heard and seen", with practical strategies to handle life's challenges.
